Bud began his career as a police officer for the Broward County Sheriff’s Office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he served the community for 12 years. After leaving law enforcement, Bud started his insurance career and has been in this industry for 29 years. Bud joined the Knight Insurance Group in January of 2017 as CEO. Prior to this current position, Bud owned an agency and held the position of CEO for two other financial institution-owned agencies. Bud is driven to improve the agencies that he is a part of, and the outcome of his methods has resulted in great advancement for those agencies. The last two agencies won MarshBerry’s PIN UP Award (based on the Perspectives for High Performance report) for most improved agency in APPEX and currently the Knight Insurance Group PIN has improved from a 2.59 PIN in 2017 to a 7.86 PIN in 2018.
